Helping Women Restore Your Body, Mind & Spirit

Hula is something that needs to be experienced in order to be appreciated. Reading or hearing words about it … is just that…words. Experiencing it brings that feeling of joy and well being within you.

“I love how hula makes me feel....so relaxed and at peace....It builds body confidence without changing a thing about you...I feel indescribably beautiful in a wholesome, natural way."

No former dance experience is necessary. The movements are graceful and flowing.

It it is structured in a way that enhances the sense of balance and harmony. It is a low-impact exercise, wonderful especially for the hips, legs, knees and arms.
It helps develop coordination, flexibility, self-confidence and good health Anyone can do hula

Hula touches hearts as well as minds, and it fills the soul and pleases the eyes. It is loved worldwide because it is a celebration of beauty, of people, of the land; of nature with its winds, soft rains, waterfalls and surf. Learning Hula is great fun; and when you acquire even just a little skill, it allows you to fully experience your connection with your own Inner Essence and Creativity.

Monday Evenings 6:15pm to 7:45pm This basic class is part of the Halau Hula Pu'uwai O Aloha, a non-traditional school of Hula and the Hawaiian Healing Arts.

It is an hour and a half class for the committed hula student (haumana) who wants to have a more in depth study of this sacred and indigenous dance of the Hawaiian culture. And it gives you an opportunity to be part of a sisterhood as a member our Hula 'Ohana (family).

There is also an advance class on Tuesday evenings, that is you can move into after you complete the training in this basic class, and an opportunity to share Hula with others in our dance troupe.

And you will be part be part of a closed Facebook Page where you can interact with your hula sisters from both classes where I, as your hula instructor, will be sharing more information to deepen your knowledge of hula. Both classes also come together on a regular basis - usually about every other month, to have a pa'ina (a potuck/meal together) and ho'ike (sharing) to be able to get to know each other better in person.
