Since an early age, Kaleo has been on a spiritual journey and quest in understanding the human condition as a woman. It began out of her own need to find answers and peace with her own life and the traumas that she experienced at an early age. It led her to become:
An Ordained Minister since 1986, and through the Sanctuary of the Beloved, the Order of Melkizedek since 2006.
An apprentice to a Native American Shaman for 14 years and a Ceremonialist for sweat lodges, pipe ceremonies, equinox and solstice ceremonies and rites of passage.
Initiated into an ancient sisterhood that is grounded in an ancient Moon Ceremony for women, to call in their Divine Feminine. She has conducted for 100’s of women since the late 80's.
A Hawaiian Hula Instructor and a Hawaiian Cultural Awareness Consultant and Teacher through living and studying with Hawaiian Master teachers both in Hawai’i and on the mainland since the late 80’s.
Licensed as an Authorized Senior Teacher and Acupressurist in Jin Shin Do Bodymind Acupressure in 1988.
A Sound Healer since the late 80’s; and certified as a Therapeutic Music Practitioner through the Music for Healing and Transition Program in 2005, focusing on assisting those transitioning and those with dementia and Alzheimer patients.
A Professional Singer and Female Vocalist since her early adulthood, and a Musical Storyteller through her music and hula, the Hawaiian ancient form of storytelling, since 2007.
She has also studied and worked with her spiritual ancestry through the ancient Celtic and Druid practices and has conducted ceremonies in celebrating the 8 Celtic Festivals since the mid 90's.
Kaleo has been giving inspirational talks and facilitated workshops and classes throughout the US and Canada since the mid-80's. She currently offers classes and workshops at the River House at the Glendale Shoals Preserve in Spartanburg SC and in Greenville SC. She also works privately with clients in person at the River House and throughout the Upstate SC area, and all over the world via phone/Skype. Kaleo is dedicated to helping women to come into the fullness of who they are and express their creativity and beauty out to the world. She has been taught by her elders that it is in honoring the Feminine and connecting to the Divine Feminine within each of us (men and women) and bringing it into balance with the Divine Masculine that we will find harmony and peace in this world. That starts with helping women to reclaim and embrace it within themselves and then to bring that awareness and healing out to her family and loved ones; and how fortunate we are to now have these wonderful ancient indigenous practices, that are now being shared with us, to help us to do this. Kaleo has been so blessed to work so closely with her indigenous teachers and with all that they have shared with her. She is now doing her best to share it here with other women on the mainland, especially in the Southeast, to help them to Come Home to Themselves.
